On a scale of 1-10, what would you guys say the level of difficulty is to install new levers? I'm considering the TEC levers to better fit my hands. I usually wear a size large glove, so my hands aren't Trump-stubby or anything, but the factory levers can be a bit of a stretch from time to time. I haven't really messed around with trying to adjust the factory levers though. Perhaps I should try that first, since the silver vs black levers isn't really an issue for me? Any non-color related advantages to the TEC or other aftermarket levers?
I have carnival short fingers!....My riding gloves and what not are smalls.

I don't seem to have an issue with the stock levers though in their closest reach adjustment. Then again, I'm not racing it around and typically am engine braking mostly. Clucth reach is good to. Perhaps my normal palm size helps out with this.

2, maybe a 1 if you have 0 skill set.
The brake lever is 1 pin.
The cluth has the cable going into it so just check the lock nut for number of threads sticking out and put it back the same and all should be good, just a smidge more fiddly.
If I remember I took about 20 minutes to do both.

Part #

I fitted these yesterday; they are the Triumph after market ones designed for the Thruxton; T120; etc.
Fit fine on the bobber.

Can't load pics at the moment, coming later.

Edit: well, tried to upload pics but smug mug want money for this so I'm not using that anymore.
Tried to drag and drop them here, but files are too big; (I'm using a MacBook Pro with Sierra, no idea how to resize them...!)
Don't know how everyone else does it here!
Any ideas?
I'm not gonna use a third party service anymore cause they want money for it.

Appreciate any help.
Cheers!

Hi Mike

Do you have a part number for the triumph levers please?

Wow, $40 a set!

So how come my Australian Triumph dealer wants to slug me $200 bucks (US$ 150) for the same item under the identical part number? https://jcsmotorcycles.com.au/triumph-genuine-parts-cnc-machined-short-levers--triumph-motorcycle-a9620038

I bought a similar Chinese repro item off eBay, they work well but unfortunately the black anodising exposed to sun has faded to dark green!

Retro, everything seem's to cost us more mate. I really try to buy local but when it's triple the price it's just gouging so I order from over sea's. Next time i go back to the UK i'm gonna have to pay for extra weight on my return flight :grin2:

Dang dude, why not ask someone from the forum to order the $40 set from Triumph and just ship it to you that way? I know some people have done that in the forum before.

Is there a reason you can't just order from Triumph directly yourself? Surely shipping from the UK to Aus is cheaper than UK to the States...right?

Well I just went into my garage, one of the lights has blown so I hope you can see the two levers together here.
The original is slightly longer but the CNC ones fit the hand much better. If you look closely at pic 2, you should be able to see how much better it's position and size fits to the handlebar grip.

They are from the Triumph accessories catalogue, and desiged for the T120 and Thruxton models; but also fit the Bobber.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!

are these levers, better also for shorter fingers, are they closer to the grip compare to the original ones from a bobber?

@chezqui

If I'm correct, I do believe this is part number for the Triumph levers.

SKU: A9620038
Has anyone installed these Triumph levers on their Bobber? Part #A9620038 isn’t listed for the Bobber but I’m hoping it fits.
I did some sleuthing and according to Pazzo Racing’s lever compatibility chart, the Bobber uses the same levers as bikes listed for the Triumph A9620038 levers. I placed an order and will confirm when installed. For Less than $20 more than the Chinese knockoffs, I can have OEM Triumph levers (which are probably Chinese made).
