Tank comparability

Yes there are several threads talking about different portions of this, however I’m not finding what I’m needing to, so I’m hoping collectively we can gather this info.
I will be switching my tank, I like the look of the t100/t120 tanks, as my understanding is get speedmaster tanks are much wider. But now I’m learning that post 2018 they are more closely to the current tank profiles.

thruxton 900 tank - 16L
- this is most idea, but will it fit on the bobber?

t100/t120 tank - 14.5L
- like the profile of these, but need some modding to the rear bracket to fit.

Spedmaster - 14.5L
- originally I didn’t like the look of these as they were quite wide and like the thunderbird, but I have been finding that after 2018 the speedmaster tank is shaped like the bobber tank just larger dimensions. Is this correct?

All of the new Speedmasters are 2018+. I don't know why Triumph recycled the name but the 2018+ Speedmasters don't have any connection to the old Speedmasters. But the tank from any 2018+ Speedmaster will fit. I would like to see if you have any luck with the thruxton 900 tank.

First I had to cut all the brackets and pins off except, of course, for the ”cups” that hold the tank to the frame and the loop that holds the gas line in place.

Then I fabricated a “u” shaped bracket that uses the side seat post bolts and welded it to the tank strap plate on the bottom of the tank.

The seat has to be moved back so I originally used the “3rd hole” in the seat post. I’m too short for the “3rd hole” so I drilled a “2 1/2 hole” in the seat post and that fits me better.

Hopefully that helps.
