I think your best option would be to powder coat the wheels, but have them tape off the spoke nipples so they can still be turned. The finish would be tougher than Plasti-Dip and easier to clean and polish.

I don’t know about yours but I’m pretty certain my spokes are steel not chrome and my rims are already black, maybe he’s got a special edition?

 

You could replace the spokes with black ones if you are comfortable with truing and centering the rim. Even if you replaced them one at a time you'd still end up truing (spoke tightening).

Or just put covers on them:

@Luckybastard Did you get a 2022 Bobber that is black or a 2022 Bobber Black? From looking at pictures the Bobber has black rims with steel spokes.

 

2022 Black Bobber, you are correct, black rims with steel spokes, getting powercoated now. Just want all black.

 

My 2018 BB is chrome plated, now with an emerging light dusting of rust becoming evident and I don't use any abrasive polishes on the spokes.

My 30 years old Sportster spokes are holding up well by comparison. So, gets back to factory or outsourced provider preparation, copper, nickel then chrome plating.

 

Retro, are you saying American made vs Thailand made ,sourced?. Harley has "out sourcing I know

 

Probably plated in Mexico, still better than Thailand!!!!!!

 

I would get a bit more familiar with your bike first before you go down this route You could start by checking and confirming your wheel sizes.....
