For anyone still considering a wrap:
Maybe have a look at the 1" (25mm) wrap as an alternative to the much more common 2" (50mm) wrap.
Looks pretty good IMO, though I have to say it does take longer to apply and you'll be happy to have pulled the headers in advance.

Looks good with the tight spiral. Not worried about header damage as the wraps are staying on until I get a new set. They aren't going to burn through before then.

I went with the BC exhaust wrap kit, I'm pretty happy with the look. Took a while to stop smoking after a ride, and it still gives off a bit of a funky smell when hot. I didn't wrap all the way down the exhaust due to needing to remove/replace the silencer <-> header covers by the footpegs.
