Best accessory - gear change to 16/39 tooth sprockets or Speedmaster tank on a Bobber.

Worst accessory - Power Commander V is a major pain in the @ss to install. It wasn't difficult - just a pain - but the results are worth it (I'd go ECU tune if I had to do it again).

Best: tie between x-pipe (love the sound at higher RPM) and adaptive headlight (throws insane amount of light)

Worst: swingarm bag.... expensive holds almost nothing.

 

Roy are they that bad? I was on the fence on getting the Indian swing arm bag or the Burly Voyager Saddlebag..but after hearing this I am definitely going to avoid the swing arm bag.

Anyone had any success attaching a Burly bad to their bobber?

Best: This one is a toss up between 3 pieces that come together to make this a truly fun bike for me, Mini Apes, ALC custom seat (thanks Alex), and the Triumph forward controls.

Worst: This one is easy to ID, I'm going to have to go with the Spirit filters intake and pods. This one was a complete waste of money for me. First time I got on the throttle hard after install, the back of my knees pulled the intake runners right off the throttle bodies. My "fix" was eliminating the tubes and put the filter pods directly on the TB's. After running like that for the rest of the season (roughly 2500 km), I removed them to work on something else, and found a layer of dust coating the inside of the throttle bodies and ports in the head.... I now use K&N filter pods, silicon hoses, constant tension clamps and custom made runners.

 

which seat from Alex Leather craft do you have? I mean the size of the seat and the thickness.
Are they more comfortable than stock?

I bought the swingarm bag, never used new in the box. I did not pay the outrageous price that Triumph wanted. It was the best and only accessory that I bought for the bobber. So I guess it is the best and the worst. I use it to put a thermos of coffee in then go for a ride. Enjoy a hot coffee When ever I stop.

 

I like that...best and worst in the same product..nice one..

I would still probably buy the swingers bag IF they offered a left and right one to make up a pair. An oversight by Triumph I think, I have no interest in just one.

Hulksmash, here is my solution to attach the Burly saddlebags. Used the OEM Rails and some fittings with rubber inserts, couple of bolts and wide washers. Works well for me. Hope it helps.

Thanks @Douglas this is just what i was looking for! I am very grateful as it was a complete head scratcher for me

 

Best accessory ... Bang or I guess honk for buck I'd say the fiam freeway blaster horn . Cost 15 bucks and 15 minutes time. Bend the bracket just right and it looks okay. Only had to use it a couple times but it was much more noticeable than the stock horn.

Is the horn plug and play or do you need any new wires?

 

Worst has to be that little miniature clock or thermometer that you could attach to the handlebars

 

That's redundant as ****, speedo has a clock. Maybe an analogue TAc or oil temperature pressure gauge would be more usefull as you'd use them more often

@BurgerBobber @Roy I was just looking at the Denali Mini Soundbomb so this rec is timely and half the price. Would you recommend the Fiam low or high note?

 

I got the low tone freeway blaster. Easily twice as noticeable but not twice as loud. Kinda surprised I haven't seen more comments on gearing. 16T front sprockets only 20 bucks...

 

Best for me was the Fox shock , it completely transformed the bike. Worst is the swingarm bag , even though I use it a fair bit for phone , wallet etc it's not black!! It's meant to be black but it's a very dark brown. I need to get some shoe polish on it. 🤣 Oh and I've the analog clocks as well...completely pointless but I do think they look quite cool. 😉

 

Best - high bars, tec adjustable levers, British customs exhaust. rubber tank pads (for looks and functionality) 16/37 gearing.

Worst - statement seat. I absolutely love the way it looks. But after an hour or so ride it gets very stiff. Im in my 20s and it causes me lower back and butt pain.
16/39 gearing. Rpms way to high for freeway use. At 70mph rpms around 3600. Ave. Freeway speeds where I live are 75-80mph (4000+rpms).

 

That is wayyyy to nice to be a motorcycle seat !!!! Enjoy....
