For me the Badlands are the best, it's like riding on a moonscape, totally barren.

Many years ago when I and some
friends still rode Harleys. Rented a house about 20 minutes from town. Each day we’d ride about 150 miles or so exploring the roads and sights in S. Dakota and Wyoming. Only went into town twice to get a sense of the scene and that was more than enough. About mid-week no matter how far we went there were just too many bikers on the roads (almost 500k come for Sturgis) and rumor was it gets a little tough in town towards the end. We didn’t bother to find out so split after four or five days of fun, great rides and lots of camaraderie and memories. Two of us still meet up occasionally for trips but no more Harley’s. He’s on a Ducati Diavel and I take my Indian Scout (my Bobber doesn’t have storage).
