Installed some viking saddlebags and krator fairing. The fairing was straight forward and took about 30 minutes. The saddlebags however presented as the bane of my existence and sent me into an existential crisis that had me questioning the purpose of my very being, probably due to my own impotence in regards to ingenuity. The way the bags are attached require the hepco Becker luggage rack and motone pannier brackets. But it works......until I find a better way.........

Totally transforms your bike.
Almost hard to believe that's the same ride I have..
Very nice sir!
This bike has an almost universal design. Like a blank canvas. It looks good as a bobber, it looks good as a bagger, it looks good as a cafe racer, it looks good as a chopper. Only limited to our imaginations.......and wallets.

Decided to do a 180 with the bobber. Wasn't happy with the "bagger" look. Even though it added useful, lockable storage, it just didn't look right proportion wise to me. I took the bags off first and it looked good with just the fairing but i like the way the bobber looks stripped down (imagine that). So I took the fairing off, chopped the rear fender and relocated the license plate and tail light/indicators. Also impulsively decided I'm gonna cover the tank with stickers and have it clear wrapped to protect them.

Well ya definitely did the 180.
I dig it this way to.
Though that bagger look was surprisingly good on the bobber.
Was real curious,.. how good did that fairing work keeping the wind off ya at highway speeds? Wich seems to be the velocity I enjoy most ..fast n on the gas! 😅

The fairing actually didn't do much at all. I should have gotten the one with the taller windshield. I really liked the way it looks as a bagger too. But it just didn't touch my soul the way I hoped. I'm currently at the drawing board with a couple custom parts. I want a bobber that is different than any other but no one seems to make accessories for the look I want so I'ma try to make them myself.

Hi,

I hear you on all that. I had my own vision and ended up either making or adapting part. More often than not, it took me two, three or even four attempts to get certain projects just right but I'm thrilled with the end result and all the cost and hard work has now faded but the joy of seeing and riding my own ride is with me every day.

So I applaud your efforts mate and I'm excited to see how you get on.. (y) (y) (y)

Cheerio,
Roy
