There is nothing cooler than whitewall tires (tyres) on a Bobber. I love them! However, I remember back in the 50's and 60's when my mom and dad both had cars with whitewall tires. I had the job of washing the cars. Cleaning the whitewall tires was a real pain in the butt.
Good luck on getting your whitewalls. I know that they will look sharp.
According to website I gotta buy 12 pens, is that right for 2 tyres, just want to paint avon cobra bits, don't know if i am brave enough to go full white wall. It's not the look that scares me I think white wall looks really retro, its keeping them clean. I think I will risk just writing first.
My bike, 2018 Bobber with 11k miles has developed a rear/driveline harmonic vibration that occurs from 50-60 mph and can be felt in the seat. The vibration comes on and off like a heart beat from 50-60 mph and in 4th gear.
The odd thing is that the problem developed just as I put a new tire on...
Fitted yesterday and it seems to work well. I can now hold a steady throttle at 1600 rpm in any gear including 6th. Probably labours the motor though, and can even carefully accelerate from this rpm.
Also easier at a steady low rpm throttle at small roundabout speeds.
