Speedo NOT ADJUSTABLE??

Has the adjustable speedo display been removed for 2023?
I have just got myself a new 2023 Bobber and the speedo head/binnacle does not appear to be adjustable (up or down).
Prior to buying the bike i watched videos and read several reviews that showed a release lever underneath the speedo head/display that allowed the head to be repositioned anywhere between about 30 degrees to almost flat. My bike does not have this lever or any type of release/locking device.
Can anyone offer up advice on this?

sensible replies only please guys! ;)

I’ve not seen any reports of this being removed from 2023 bikes. Is it mentioned in your handbook? In the online version I have it’s shown on page 27. I don’t think the Soeedmaster’s was adjustable so maybe Triumph have standardised their approach. It would be disappointing if they removed that functionality.

Hi Clem, I too had to download the manual as Triumph do not provide a printed one these days, only a quick start guide.
It shows the same detail as you attached, my bike is missing the lever. Not a massive problem but would have been nice to try it in a lower/less intrusive position. I will quiz the dealer when I am next in there.

I did get the paper manual with mine, the electronic one is just more convenient to keep on my phone as it’s usually nearby. It’ll be interesting to hear what the dealer says about it. It’s not a big deal as you say, more of a nice to have.
If it's still mounted the same way, you could probably find a quick release skewer from an old bicycle that would work. Might have to shorten the shaft but otherwise it's an identical mechanism.

Visit a local bike shop and I bet they'd be happy to look through their spare parts ... just a thought.

That’s a shame. Should you want to fit clip ons you really want the option of laying the speedo flat, and maybe even lowering it as well
I like the look but dont think my old back would like it so much!

I think it might just be as previously mentioned.. speedmaster speedo for the 23..
Or it could just be that they installed a speedmaster on yours by fault..
I'd contact the dealership after checking your handbook...
If it says it has it then they should have to make it right..
It's a very nice feature and at night a nice way to tip the brightest blue Lazer beam for bright light indicator known to man ,away from my sensitive eyes 😅

Haven't ridden mine at night but it sounds a valid point. I will speak to my dealer when I'm next in there. Thanks
Mine is a MY23 and it too is not adjustable or have any lever.

Another £1.50 saved by triumph… just like new bikes not getting a radiator mesh guard. Triumph saving a few quid but charging customers more for their product.

Soon a seat and handlebars will be an optional extra.👎👎

I got stiffed almost £100 for a rad guard, which should be fitted as standard given its position in relation to the front wheel. Am also disappointed at the clock adjuster omission this year. Seems petty.
Triumph do seem to be very good at extorting money from their customers In recent times.

No longer adjustable but you can retrofit the brackets and bolts from older models. Runs around $100

Thank you for that information. I think I will live without it unless I come across the parts at a reduced price off a scrap/breaking bike.
Cheers A&J

That's a great suggestion!
This is one of the reasons I love this forum.
Enjoy this summer and all the miles to come 😎

That's Mad - I've a 2020 bobber black and the cluster is adjustable with no lever to use, or is it just loose!
I've decided not to mess about with mine (2023) speedo that's fixed. If I want it to look flatter I'll just sit up straighter and look at it from a different angle!
