I have been using this A/F module on my R1200GSA - and i really enjoy the way it has improved smoothness in the low RPM range and overall response.

I contacted Dimsport regarding a unit for the Bobber:

I had the RapidBike installed today.
It made the changes i was hoping for without any negative effects at all.

The bike is much more tractable at very slow moving/traffic speeds. At times when neither 1st nor 2nd gear felt ' right ' without clutch slip, I can now leave it in 1st or even 2nd with no hesitations or jerkiness. Just smooth drive from the bottom of the RPM range.

The install was easy. All i had to do was have a coffee and watch >:)
But seriously, it took about 20 mins from start to finish which entailed taking off the tank, routing the cables and finding a nice spot for the module. It is completely hidden by the tank, but i can still access it if i want to change the trim settings without dismantling anything (just by using my finger). If you lie down next to the bike, you can see the module under the left side of the tank.

Overall i am VERY happy with this little box and I recommend it highly to anyone thinking about getting one.

Okay, so it is a form of remap?

If I change my exhaust, remove the cat and do a remap - would this then make the bike better or would it just be a 155 euro lottery card?
That's NOT what it's for.
It's not a remap (well, not the EASY model like I bought anyway)
It will simply make your bike smoother in the closed loop range (low RPM) by changing readings and giving a better air/fuel mixture.

For a proper remap you'll need a professional and a rolling road (something I feel the Bobber doesn't need...)

I have friends who use the rapidbike pro models in the U.K. , but they have access to rolling roads and have the inclination to play with the trim ratios via a dedicated program. I do not. I like to turn the key and ride.

This is my 3rd Rapidbike module and it is by no means a lottery card. I would not waste my time or other forum members by posting trash.

Cant you just change the riding mode to rain?
And how will that make the bike run smoother ?
All rain mode does is change the way the power is delivered...! It does not change the A/F ratios and won't make the bike smoother in the very low RPM ranges (closed loop).
In fact, rain mode doesn't even change the amount of HP available (like on a Ducati Multistrada or Diavel). It just restricts throttle input and makes it less sensitive. Not what I'm looking for, as my wrist can modulate that.

Ah, okay. I was just thinking about a smoother run at slow speeds in heavy traffic or so. For that the rain mode makes it a bit easier.
Thank you for explaining this properly. This Rapidbike modification is news for me.

For a bit more cash you could get a pcv & change fueling over whole throttle position & rpm range yourself.
The PCV is an excellent piece of kit.

I had the PCV on my Speed Triple R - but to get the best from it you need a rolling road (unavailable in Mallorca) and proper mapping setup. I feel that the Rapidbike actually works better for the results i was looking for and is totally hassle free set-up wise (& extremely easy to install).

I also want to mention that the PCV with AutoTune module, install and setup is far more expensive than the 10 minute install of the Rapidbike. Of course the results wll be better over the whole rev range, but at 3x (or more) of the cost.
My aim for the Bobber was solely to smooth out the bike in the very low RPM range, which the Rapidbike did...

Tks José
Hi,

Yes - that is the model you need.
The price is very good too.

The recommended settings (once you get the module) are as follows:
Trimmer 1: 1
Trimmer 2: +2

Let us know how it goes :smile2:
