Well, it was technically about a month ago but I've been far too busy riding the bike and enjoying the stretch of nice weather we've been having to get online.

To recap the spec was:

2019 Bobber (regular)
LED headlamps
Short stem front and rear LED Indicators
Brown leather quilted seat

Picked her up the day after I got back from my work trip and couldn't have asked for any better weather! Absolutely lovely day. Straight home to drop off the paperwork pack and then down the coast for a quick ride. Friend phoned while I was out so met up with him on his Harley and off we went for a ride. Think I did about 120 miles on that first day.

















Fitted a small phone mount on the handlebars (QuadLock)but havn't needed to use it so far.













So, in the 3-1/2 weeks that I was home I managed to do just over 640 miles. She did received her first service after 490 and I was able to open her up a bit more. I do a lot of windy B-road riding and third gear is just the most addictive thing I've ever experienced. Utterly amazed that this passed Euro 4 noise regulations. I'm having to get used to braking a bit earlier than on my last bike, and also that the brakes themselves really aren't that good. Not for a bike this size anyway. Wish it had the double front disk.

Also missing having somewhere to stick small items. So will be exploring the pannier / rear fender luggage rack options.

I've now de-stickered everything, and given first clean / polish and she's come up lovely.

Congrats on your new bike. I also have the Triumph short stem indicators on my BB and also the smaller teardrop mirrors. Makes such a difference to the look. Happy riding.

Let me be the first to say, excellent choice of color!! :grin2:

The braking can certainly be improved, your budget being the only deciding factor.
Anything from good Brenbo or EBC pads starting around £70, to a couple thousand £ for a full on, rotor, caliper, pad Brembo set up front and back.

I opted for the sintered Brembo pads (part numbers in the pic below credit for finding the correct part # to Eisen!), and it has proven to be a huge improvement over to stock pads, and the hotter they get the better they seem work..

As for storage, again, there is a large selection. the limitations of course being budget, needs, and the most subjective, what is the look you love!

I opted for a custom swing arm bag, but the choices are almost endless, everything from the simple small triumph swing arm bag, to full on custom hard saddle bags and fender rack.

I for one, have almost as much fun modding mine, as I do ride it,, Almost...:laugh:

Welcome to the group, and HOLY CRAP is gas expensive over there! I checked the conversion and you guys are paying around $10 US to fill up, while I'm barely spending $5 ($2.25-2.45 per US gallon). Crazy how big a difference there is!

Yeah, there's a big reason for that, and it's tax. 66% of the tank of petrol is accounted for in tax.

Same colour (although black isn't a colour or color) as mine, sweet!

Haha, that was on the very first day I picked it up. Didn't want to waste time, took a few snaps on the drive and then out for a ride!

The Brembo sintered pads or EBC will improve braking, but even after fitting them I was still underwhelmed and opted for the Free Spirits kit. The best 600 quid I have spent. You no longer need forearms like Popeye to get a quick stop.

Awesome, thanks. Do you have any pics of the kit fitted?

@Great Black North, you have the LaRosa swing arm bag I'm going to get (at some point). It looks **** nice. What are your thoughts on it?

I really like the bag and the look, It was a bit of a PITA to mount solidly though, especially if you have a side plate, the straps it comes with are not particularly well designed for this swing arm. I used the Triumph swing arm bag hardware to mount it, and had to modify my Plate mount so I could put it as far back on the swing as possible, it is working quite well now and I'm happy with how it is. It is really handy to have as well, as I much prefer to ride the Bobber over the Harley when I need things. :grin2:

Here is a couple of pics of the mount set up. I thought I had gone into more detail, but if I did I'm not finding it..

Shame it was a pain to install, it looks really nice, thanks for sharing the pics. Probably the nicest bag I've found for the Bobber. I'm tempted to get the pair when I do make the dive.
