For those who lube their chains, I stumbled upon this video by Fortnine, which is surprisingly fun and informative.

He takes a selection of brands and runs them through a fair selection of tests to find the best option.


I enjoyed it, so thought I'd share.

Yes I agree with him, the main reason for chain lube is rust, I don't bother much now, in the old days we used to remove the chain using the split link
heat a tin of mulidium disulphide grease on the cooker to liquefy it, immerse the chain in it for a while, then hang it up over the tin to drain down the excess, this lubricated the chain pivots as in those days there were no O ring seals. Progress is sometimes a good thing.
