I thought I noticed a different road noise last night and found both tires on my Bobber were 7 lbs low on air pressure. .. oh boy.
I've had my Bobber for 30 days and 375 miles.

Could be several causes I suppose...
1. It left the dealer that way? (They did gave me copy of their comprehensive pre-delivery check list.)
2. Dealer thinks 25 and 35 psi are proper psi's?
3. It's a normal break-in thing. tires are settling in. (ahh, not likely).
3a. Spoke and tube wheels always leak air... I know my old Harley Springer does.
4. I don't know how to measure psi or forgot how to read the air gauges I use. (I am old-ish :)
5. Both gauges are wrong. (make that 3 of them now)
6. Both tires have taken on puncture wounds. I don't see anything.
7. Malfeasance .. just kidding

I have now topped the pressures off at 32 front and 42 rear psi as the user manual (p.116) lists.
Based on his dismissive attitude about my fuel gauge being wanky, I won't bother to tell my bike's service manager, he wont want to hear this.

Interesting.... as well as an interesting list of options. I would say periodically check up on it and see what the rate of deflation is over a certain period of time and gauge from there?

Well, based on your situation I just checked my tires pressures too. Found them at 24 front, 36 rear? I really believe I had checked them before and they were set per manual. But......I may have forgotten, and didn't check them earlier? I reset at 32/42, tightened the valve cores (only able to get about 1/8 turn) and installed caps with gaskets. Mines about a month old too with 126 miles. I'll keep you updated when checked again a couple weeks. ??? Hope they're not leaking!

My bike was also delivered with underinflated tires.
Tightened the valves and since then the pressures have been ok.

Based on the thread, figured I better check. Mine were at 27.5/40.5. Not as bad but glad the thread got me to check. Have to keep an eye on it.

And I received no such checklist when I left the dealer. Would have been interesting to see.

So that's what it look so like. Yeah, 3 checks.

Dumb question, you have heavy tempature swings this time of year or when it was put together? Like 60 then 30 the next day? That could affect the pressure.

not really. the temps been moderate in the Tampa Bay area.
I'm guessing the tires will hold their pressure normally now.

Smart question actually since I have friends that live up in Buffalo who experience changes in tire pressure that are in line with the recent fluctuations in weather. Its a PITA but usually the ones better off are those who park underground at condos/apartments

How often is everyone going to check on the tire pressures ? It'll be great to see what everyone gets at a consistent interval?

I check mine once a week or maybe more if i ride alot.
After NOT riding for 7 days, i measured 2.1 BAR at the front 2.8 BAR at the rear. (book states 2.2 and 2.9 respectively)
Bike is garaged and at a pretty constant 55 degrees fahrenheit.

I use this to measure pressure:

My rear tire holds its pressure ok, but the front seems to be losing air on a weekly basis ! :confused:
I check the pressures before every ride due to this.

Correct way to check the pressure is when the tires are warm, isn't it?
Thats true only when on the track (keeping a close eye on cold AND warm pressures)

Road tires should ALWAYS be checked when cold and ideally in a normal, constant & ambient temperature and when they have not been exposed to too much sun.
