Tried to find a good price in Colorado but the two dealerships I worked with wanted way too much and wouldn't deal. So, I bought mine in South Dakota for a great deal and rode it home a week later. I can't stop looking at it!
They put Vance and Hines silencers on it, and a matte black tank as part of the deal, too.

The only thing I'd change is that I'd like the license plate under the seat, instead of hanging under the taillight cluster. Anyone know a way to do that?

Otherwise, I'm totally happy with this amazing motorcycle.

Welcome, and yes, you will love this bike.

Interesting how they swapped out the tanks for you.
Did you request that or did they offer?

Enjoy!

I originally wanted a Black Matte. He only had the regular black in 2018 which was substantially less than a brand new 2019. But, he offered to put the tank on, because he had a spare in the back, for no extra charge. I said I'd have to see it first, but when I saw it, it was perfect! Now the flat black engine parts and pipes match with the tank, and the frame, covers, and fenders match with the gloss. I really like it, and now it's kinda like my own custom bike.

Cool.
The mix match new from dealer may make it a 1 of 1 and possibly a collectors item. ??

I found the same with the CO dealers so I got mine in CA. Their loss.

The problem with hanging your plate under the seat is a question of clearance. You risk hitting the plate when the shock compresses. The NRC kit is a pretty good alternative.

Congratulations on your purchase, which I'm sure you will enjoy.

I have the Black also, and enjoy it immensely. I could definitely do with another 20 HP or so but I'm probably too old for the shenanigans that would inevitably ensue. Torque will have to do, I suppose.

If the novelty wears off and you find yourself longing for a bit more giddy-up and a nastier snarl, consider these simple but productive mod's: https://www.triumphbobberforum.com/forum/610-engine-discussions/14855-tremendous-trio.html

Congratulations on your purchase, and welcome to the group! I'm curious. How much did you save buying in SD vs CO? Any other changes to your bike planned right away?

Welcome from Minnesota! Beautiful bike and one off with the tank swap to make it even more your own.

That would be cool! I do feel like it's "mine" and not just purely stock.

Exactly. I'll be taking it through both and telling them they had more than ample opportunity to sell the (Still on their floor) motorcycles. LOL
Yes, still, I think if there were a bracket that fits to the seat mount, the clearance wouldn't be an issue. I just don't like the side mount rat bike look for the plate.

I saved at least $2K, and as much as $3K, depending on the interest rate on financing, and incentives. I still had to pay Colorado sales tax rather than SD, but I ended up with a final cost that was at least 2K less than they offered - even after hours of haggling.

I think after a while I'll try an X-Pipe. But I don't want that Blap-Blap-Blap sound you hear from crappy V-Twin Harleys. As it is right now with the Vance and Hines, the sound is PURR-FECT. I love it... I just wish it were a bit louder.

There are youtube videos of the V&H with the x-pipe and it sounds exactly like what you're describing. Go for it!
