Getting bored of all the black. Figured I would add some color. Still need to do rear caliper and some other bits.

I really lke the small touches and splashes of red. Makes it one of a kind. Not sure I would have done the chain guard, too but, hey, as Mike says, as long as you like it, that’s what counts.

It’s only powder coat. I do it all my self so if i don’t like it I can change it. You don’t know how it will look until you try it. Some things work and others don’t. I’m not a 100% sold on the chain guard either, but like I said , it can all be changed. That’s the beauty of doing the work yourself. It’s free labor.

I think the powder coating looks well done. The colors aren't for me but it's easy to appreciate the execution.

FYI for future reference, powdercoating temps are high enough to alter the hardness of certain alloys (52100, 1045, some 4 series), and can also de-polarize magnets. In any case, the compression rate on your shock spring might have changed.

Really sorry but too much for my taste. but luckily we are all different, as long as you are happy,
I have to agree with all three points, but good on you for giving it a go, all black is sooo predictable (or as I would put it BORING) :wink2:

I hope. A little less stuff would be great. I was actually hoping it would change it. Not sure if 400 degrees is enough to soften though.

You don’t need to apologize. It’s all taste. I’m sure in a few months I’ll grt bored of the red and change it again. If everyone’s bikes looked the same it would be pretty boring. Once I do the tank it will all come together.
