Pretty certain that's connector #17 (blanked) for the OEM Alarm Accessory on the Thruxton model which shares the almost identical electrical diagram, but not physical wiring layout. So, nope!.....not rear license plate

Refer to the images, what you're looking for is the mate of this 8 pin connector #15 for the rear lights. Follow the harness up, behind the air-box.

If you remove the Blank, will it be a Female?
Space is so tight, I don’t want to damage the plug trying to mess with it or removing incorrectly
Yes it’s the female end.. it’s a switched live so it’s only live when the ignition is on.

I use it for my Satnav

I know these are U.K. supplied but the part numbers may help
It’s a JST connector and this is the part number.

You will also need the pins which I’m pretty sure are these.

It doesn't disconnect, as mentioned there is a small blanking plastic plug which may be in tight. When the licence plate light is disconnected at the rear light cluster, the plug you photographed can be used to feed a side number plate light.
I fixed my side plate up using that plug a few weeks ago.

If you're just plugging a side plate light harness into the plug its very simple, the difficulty is that the plug is difficult to manipulate unless you have very small hands.
What you struggling with?

Euro bikes don't have the additional connector apparently.
Mine does. The picture above posted by Jaho shows it.🤔

This is the connector for the side mount number plate a yellow and a black wire. The yellow is the + and the black is the - It is only live with the ignition on.

This is the plug that fits the above connector

I admit to Ignorance on my part, as that plug is not shown on the OEM wiring schedule and was just quoting the comment (on Jaho's original post - August 2022) from a Czech owner whose dealer advised. And yes, all my switched ad-hoc mods are wired into that Yellow conductor from various locations of convenience.
