Has anyone looked into these new speakers for the Bobber Black? They seem very cool as an audio solution but I don't think they work with the mirrors where they are. Anyone have success?

Those speakers are mirror mounted and you would have to install new mirrors in the place you normally find them on other bikes (easy to remove the blanking plate on the Bobber) here:

Personally, i would not install them no matter how good they sounded in order not to destroy the classic lines of the Bobber.
Also, coming from the world of high quality/upgraded speakers on my GL1800 (6 speakers in total and 2 amps), i doubt you would hear ANY kind of nice beats from the those 12V JBL´s while riding beyond 5mp/h.

So instead, i use these from FLARE Audio. One word: Awesome.

After a little research I managed to put a truly great little set up together that was not only helmet friendly but cost effective also.

The sound quality is outrageously good, not just because it was all cheap to buy... but even at twice the price. This is coming from someone who has spent well over £1000 on a set of headphones in the past!

Bluetooth device... simply plug your headphone into it and then pair with any smart phone. Takes seconds.

Perfect fit. Don’t even feel them with the helmet on. The earbuds are so small it’s crazy how they produce such phenomenal sound.

You can also change the earbud tips depending on your ear/canal size. The flares come with lots of different types to try & explore. Once you find the ones you like, you can order more replacements as they degrade over time.

The only downside (if you can call it that) is the price.

If i ever go back to listening to music on the bike (if i want points and a ban along with possible prison time...) i have a set of earmoulds that fit like a glove, the noise isolation is good enough that you can hear a garmin at 150 with no faring even with an arai on!
