Hi, has anyone here used a j and s jack to lift the bobber for Maintenance? Is it safe to do with the bobber frame? Thanks Nick.

I had to look them up as it is obviously a US brand, I can’t say I am a big fan of that sort of lift personally. Or maybe I am not blessed to have owned the right product ?

My preferred approach is rear paddock stand on the bobber with bobbins. I lift the front with a car jack and a slab of 4x2 under the frame to be able to release the front wheel. I only do this as my front paddock stand isn’t wide enough for the bobber forks else I would use this here also.

The price seems steep. Are you in the US? If so you should look into the aluminum motorcycle jack from harbor freight. Awesome lift. I love it. Use it all the time. I’ve left my bike on it for 3 weeks and it never lost an inch in the hydraulics.
