Well another day has past and alI I have done is look at my bobber under it’s dust sheet :-(
It just hasn’t been dry in Wiltshire and the roads around here are so muddy thanks to all the building sites and gravel excavation plants :-( there’s no way I’m venturing out as the cleanup would be not worth it.
Anyone else feel that’s it for 2017??
Did anyone get to ride there bobbers today ??
I’m still hoping to get a few more rides in 2017 but not overly confident!!
This morning I got up and went out to the motorcycle shed and fired up the snow blower and clean the 3 inches of snow off the driveway. Parked the blower next to the bobber, yea it's over
Well, I dunno. I'm on the London/Surrey border and I was out on the bike last Sunday as it was really sunny (bloody cold though) and this weekend is predicted to be sunny too I think, so hopefully I'll be able to get out again.
Also in Wiltshire, I’ve come to the same conclusion. Bike all now wrapped up for the winter. Fortunately, I still have a Tiger to play on those muddy roads.
Toying with the idea of going for a 1hrs ride midday tomorrow. It hasn’t rained for a few days and roads are dry !!
And if it stays dry I’m just going to see how cold it’s going to be !!!
I need my bobber fix
Did a 20 mile ride on the Norton today and then repeated with the Bobber. It felt real good. It was about 55F till it started to get dark then the temp fell fast!>
I think that may well be my last ride of 2017
Roads were dry enough to say stuff it but some did look a bit white tho :-0
Temp was 6 degrees and my finger tips cried enough after a hour and a half !!
Yup, great weather today. Did a Toy Run as it's the season.
And for all you Northern and British boys, you can envy us now but smile in the summer when the only time to ride (semi-comfortably) is during the early morning hours.
Well, this coming weekend shows to be 50 degrees and sunny, so it's the second time out of storage for a ride. Bobber is in for service so it's the Beemers turn again.
As a born again biker the Bobber has definitely awakened the long forgotten thrill you can only get from riding a big twin and this bad weather is killing me. I am seriously thinking about picking up a second hand scrambler next year so I can get my fix whatever the weather
We just got 5-6" of snow and the roads are a mess! With only 3 weeks left and 2 more storms in the forecast this may be it. The Bobber is apart for a few projects so I'm not to concerned!
