I rode up to Detroit Triumph for their free coffee. Told the guy I'm interested in ordering a speedmaster tank. He said he has new black Speedmaster in crate, and he can take take and put it on my bike... right now. I said cool, and less than an hour later, I'm back in the wind.

Thanks Roy... tank and fuel pump was direct swap... i had to use SpMas fuel gauge sensor, as original bobber sender wont give proper reading in new tank. Filled, I can tell differece in feel... more solid and weighty. Love it. I'm getting short fender kit next. And I have to say, my best bang-for-buck modification in terms of fun were the leather tassles for the apes. 🤔

The dealer said fuel pumps are same across Bonneville range, but the sender in Bobber tank wont give proper reading in Speedmaster tank. I'm actually not 100% sure, so I believed him as he talked an English engineer at Triumph from the mother country. I think the bobber needs the SM tank as it looks better, IMHO.
