I installed the Hepco & Becker rear rack today. Outstanding fit and look! Very useful addition that doesn’t ruin the look of the Bobber, in my opinion.

Looks great. How much time did it take to install? I'm asking so that I can understand whether this would be a rack that could be conveniently installed and removed when needed.

Another question... once installed what are the dimensions of the rack platform on which you'd place a bag or box?
The installation took about 30 minutes and is a breeze. The platform part of the rack is about 10 inches. The specifications say 11 pounds max weight.

The rear rack looks pretty good and It would certainly add some carrying capacity. However it would defeat the purpose of an easy-on/easy-off bike for me. :frown2:

Where did you get the whitewall tires? Those add a great touch.

So I just saw this post and panicked, because I purchased the rack with the intention to carry a 15-20 pound backpack. I called accessoryinternational.com where I purchased it from, and they said that it is a very sturdy rack, and it should be able to hold 20-30 lbs easily, phew! I was also wondering, do I need a special bit to remove the socket screws?

I'v had one n a box waiting to be fitted for a couple of weeks now, just not got round to it, for me the photo opportunities going to and from work (rack is for camera bag) kinda died as its in and out of work in the dark now for about 4 months.

I'm saving up for one of these rear racks right now (no overtime/fun money lately), and I picked up a Kuryakyn Momentum Vagabond Bag a couple of weeks ago for a great price as the motorcycle shop was moving to a new location, so they were discounting everything. The bag is pretty big, but so am I...lol I think it'll be great for weekend trips etc. I definitely plan on only mounting the rack when I have a trip planned. Very glad to hear the rack should be able to able to hold 20-30lbs.
