Hello!

I think I completely forgot to introduce myself when I first got on the forum so I thought I'd rectify that now. I'm a long time rider...about 20 years in. I first became a Triumph aficionado about 6 years ago having both a speed and street triple in the garage. Most recently, I've adopted a more laid back Bobber Black.

The only thing I really planned on doing with it...was add the Dart Piranha fly screen, which I've done. Then I'm just going to ride the piss out of it.

So...looking forward to learning about this bike and discussing all things Bobber as time passes.

It IS hot. But I still wear a leather jacket. It's alright as long as you're moving. My bike is still factory with exception to the windscreen. And I'm perfectly ok with that now. I wouldn't have said that 10 years ago. I used to deck out my bikes like crazy with aftermarket bits.

I can cope with leathers up to about mid 30's, the best thing is that leather breathes, and if I hit the asphalt the 'orrible stat that I got from a Met Police Special Escort Group talk is that you lose a millimetre of flesh for every foot you slide... to put that in perspective, 60mph is 88 ft per second, so you're gonna slide a loooong way

Welcome to the forum. I wear a good textile jacket and full face helmet 3 seasons of the year , and a leather one for the colder Georgia months (Late December thru the end of February). I think about the what ifs enough to keep me in decent gear (now that I'm older).

The only thing that isn't leather or true protective gear is my jeans. Granted...that's the part that I'll likely be sliding on should that ever occur. I just can't wear leather pants.

Van...you need to look at the "ROKKER JEANS"..your dealer in Texas is in Dallas...www.motoliberty.com

Best protective jeans...they also sell them in various US States. They are made in Switzerland.
