I have been living and working in Taiwan for soon 18 years and can assure that Calvin is so right, Taiwan is probably the best motorcycling country ever; high and steep mountains, deep valleys and a winding coastline. And perfect roads for enjoyable and fun rides. The traffic density in the cities is something entirely different though where the rule "fill the void" is a good description and where everybody only pay attention to the traffic ahead and do their best not to hit each other. It is remarkable how little accidents considering the traffic density.
Anyway, if you drop by this wonderful island, be sure to spend extra time exploring and preferably on two wheels.
Maybe Calvin can let us know how or where to rent heavy bikes, a Bobber preferably?
