I’ll do a larger rear sprocket when I need a new chain, but already have much better 6th gear pull on the highway, and better power down low.

I did the 16/39 swap in one sitting. Kind of wish I’d done the front then the rear to see the difference but I love the new gearing.

Between kid and work, my 16 tooth Thruxton sprocket has been on a shelf for a few months, until today.

The bike looks mean with the sprocket cover off, and I wish there was a simple kit to relocate the coolant.

Instantly, love it. This is another one if those mods that feels like it should have come this way. I’ll do a larger rear sprocket when I need a new chain, but already have much better 6th gear pull on the highway, and better power down low.

Just ordered the 16T sprocket. Wanted to change the front first and see the results before doing the rear sprocket. From a 2.17 to a 2.31 ratio I think it will be a big difference already.

I did the 40t rear sprocket on my old Bobber and it was a big improvement.

I pick up my new Speedmaster on Sunday (weather permittin) so I’ve pre ordered a new 40t and a 16t to fit after the first service..

This is a good place to buy sprockets from??

I’m running 16/39 on both the Bobber and the Speedmaster 60mph or 100kph = 3000rpm give or take 50 rpm

16/39 here as well , I've not noticed any under or over gearing for the type of riding I do. All I know is that it pulls much harder in every gear and to my mind it should of left the factory like it. 👌👍

The bobber feels a good bit different with a 16t front, revs are most definatley higher than before but i'm up at 50/60 before I know it and the tcs lamp flashes a bit more than it used to lol.

A&J cycles has their version of the 39T rear sprocket. I sent Brian an email over the summer when I couldn’t find one anywhere, and he had a whole batch of them made.

16/39 is how I feel the bike should have come.
