As someone who's wants to get their riding position just right, there just couldn't be any better feature than the adjustable seat pan that can move up, down, forwards and backwards. It's features like this which will help Triumph's Bobber sell in good volume...

Once you go adjustable seat, you can never get back. Just the sheer convenience of it when you want to change your riding position at a gas stop. Also, it'll accommodate a variety of rider sizes.

The main question is, how comfortable is it?

Even if it's not that comfortable, it should be removable and you can easily get a gel insert or something in there. I'm happy enough with the adjust-ability lol, I feel like a terrible person for asking for more out of that seat setup.

I wonder how much it goes up and down.. we need a gif for that

Exactly. Comfort isn't much of an issue. I'm happy enough with it being adjustable, don't mind going my own way to get the seat customized to my liking in terms of comfort and while i'm at it... styling, because how can you not? It is a bobber after all...

That looks really darn fly. I love how "rustic" but classy it looks.

As far as features go, I do really like the exhaust although I will be changing it anyhow. Just one of those things you have to do.

The bobber would look perfect with a brown leather seat. It looks like the seat slides back and forth 1-2 inches. Doesn't seem like must on a ruler but it definitely makes a difference on a rider's ergonomics.

I tried and tried to adjust the seat upwards using shims, washers etc, but could not achieve this, how does the up adjustment work please?

The small bolt (tourx head) front of seat by tank..
You loosen the side bolts ,also close to front of seat,
And the small bolt in front .. tighten it the seat goes up..loosen it the seat goes down..
Then you tighten the bolts on either side the seat .
When doing those, they tend to move the seat from where you set it so might need a hand holding it in place on final tourqe (tighten)

Sliding the seat forward and back required taking seat completely off ..( by taking those 3 adjustment bolts loose)
Because the bottom bolts aren't really accessible.
