I was searching ebay for something to do and came across a brand new set of bobber original headers and fittings, tail pipes, handlebars, front indicators, tail light rear indicators, front mudguard, rear mudguard. taken from bike after replacing with aftermarket.

paid £600 for the lot.

don't need it now but you never know later maybe.

Personally, i would not sell the OEM parts - just in case i ever need to revert back to stock. Buying the parts back from Triumph would be a very expensive transaction!
no link as i bought the parts from ebay, they are now all spare in my garage, like i said in case i need them at a later date.

Apologies for the misunderstanding.
Just not sure why you would purchase OEM parts you already own. I understand that you now have aftermarket parts, but surely your kept (or Triumph returned) all the stock parts??
And I imagine your insurance would replace those parts anyway if the bike were ever involved in an accident or stolen (which i hope it never is, obviously).
So just trying to figure out why the (double) need for those specific parts...

600 quid for all that, is great! Good in case of a fall or if you drop the bike, which hopefully won't happen.
As a lot of people leave their bikes pretty stock, having those spare parts is quite handy.

The insurance will only pay if you have fully comprehensive or if the incident is someone else's fault. If it's your own fault and you claim, you'll lose all or part of your no claims bonus, and end up paying for it indirectly anyway.

Good decision, me thinks!

The Bobber is bog standard besides X pipe, but when i had a chance of the parts on ebay i felt it would be a bargain as the OEM parts are excessively expensive, if i or even some one on this site dropped their bike i have spares. i would not necessarily claim on my own insurance for anything other than a wright off.
