I am riding and raising money for the DGR this year.

Instead of asking flat out for donations, I thought I would add a little bit of incentive by doing a prize draw for all those who donate.
My wife will randomly choose 5 names from a hat filled with each participant’s name.

The 5 winners will each receive a Haynes Manual for Triumph Bonneville, T100, T120, Bobber, Thruxton, Street Twin, Cup, Scrambler Service & Repair Manual (2016 to 2017)

I don´t mind where on this planet you live; I am personally sponsoring the manuals, postage and packaging.

This is for a great cause and I only ask that donations start from 5 euros (or 6 dollars) in order to enter this prize draw. Any superior amount is greatly appreciated, but will in no way influence the outcome of the winner(s). It will be my wife who pulls the random names out from the hat.

Anyone kind enough to donate, please post your name on my page and add ´BOBBER FORUM´ to the comments section.

The 5 winners will be announced on this page on October 5th, 2018.
Just to show I am serious, the books have already been ordered and will be with me soon (pic attached below).

Good luck and thanks for being such a great forum!

Daily Bump.
I will give this thead a bump each evening until Saturday 29th Sept.

I have not set a minimum amount of participants in order to send out the prizes; so if there are a total of 5 donations (for example), then each will automatically receive a manual.
As i said in my first post, geographical location is not important & i will send them out to wherever you are.
What matters is we help raise money & get help for those less fortunate than ourselves.

Just an aside, I have Triumph The Art Of The Motorcycle (pictured in your post) which is a very mice coffee table book full of info and color plates.
Thanks. Will look into something like that for next year, perhaps.

No, Eisen77, I was not suggesting a different offering for the DGR ride, just a suggestion for us Triumph fans that might like a quality, well done book. That is all. :smile2:

BTW, I will be riding in the DGR in the south bay here.

I understood what you meant. But it’s still a nice idea for next year.

Enjoy the DGR ride in your area. I’m hoping it won’t rain here here in Palma!

8 days to go.
Come on guys - the manuals are for a worthy cause :nerd:
Yes, they are! So, if Eisen has answered your post or helped you on the forum navigation or any other part of this forum, and you own a Triumph :wink2:, I’m sure any small donation will do and be most appreciated. Hey, it’s just one less latte, flat white or beer >:). Won’t even affect any of the mods you’re planning on your Bobbers or Speedmasters.

Distinguished Gentlemens Ride? Women not allowed, then?
¨Is The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride opened to all genders?

Yes, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride raises money for men’s causes, but we all have men in our lives that we care about, so The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is a way for all genders to come together and show their support for the men in their lives who might have suffered, or are currently suffering¨

Absolutely women are allowed!
Though this is a drive to raise money for mens health and prostate cancer research, both sexes are equally welcome.
My sons will also be donning some semi-dapper clothing and mummy-painted mustaches and my wife is still unsure what to wear

Just a quick update.
So far i have received 4 very generous donations of which 1 has asked not to receive a manual.

So there are still 2 more manuals up for grabs with no prize draw necessary (for now).
Remember that location is NOT an issue. You send me an address and the manual will be sent out to you.

Thank you again for all your support and putting up with my DGR thread.

You only received four donations? Considering the number of members on this forum it seems like a tiny number.

It's time for more members to step up and reach into their wallets.

Thanks Chico.

Donations or not, i know i have the support of the whole forum behind me and i can´t wait to see and share the pictures from our respective DGR rides.
I´m sure many of the members on here have supported other fellow riders or are contributing in their own way.
So, please don´t let the DGR fundraising cause friction between any members. Its all in good spirit and for a great cause.

My post wasn't meant to cause friction, just rallying the troops. Eisen has been a wonderful asset and good citizen to this forum and deserves much support, no matter whether our forum members have supported their local events.
