What windshield did you end up going with? And let us know if the quilted seat ends up being more comfortable. Have a great trip! For sure. Probably get the quilted seat since I hear its a little more comfortable. Got the panners, cruise control, and windshield on order now.

Sounds like a blast! Suggest carrying some gas cans in the SUV/Trailer!
You might want to install the heated grips as well. :grin2:Planing a trip from Chicago to Seattle, then down the west coast and back. Making this a 2 week trip for the summer with my wing-man (buddies since 1st grade) that's hitting 50 anos this year.
We'll be transporting and riding our bikes. I'll be rolling with my Bobber and he's rolling with a 2016 T120 Bonnie. Driving my SUV and plan to rent a motorcycle flatbed trailer or a toy hauler trailer that 2 crusty dudes can nap in during the drive - ride. Right now we're thinking about taking down 400-700 miles each day out the west coast while changing up riding and driving on the way out to the West coast. Once we hit Seattle, its all ridding for a few days down past San Fan then back to Chi-Town via Seattle. Its likely that we'll be more aggressive with miles on the whey back to Chicago. That's up for discussion if we take the same route back.
We considered shipping the bikes and flying to the WC, still not out of the question. Riding thru the country is just too temping. With the SUV and trailer we'll have a lot more freedom to wing things and a lot more options.
Looking to hear what others think about this endeavor. Thoughts, experiences, ideas, suggestions are welcomed and needed.
