Brake light always on

I can think of two possibilities. The front or rear brake lever/s are activating the light, or the wiring to the brake light is wrong. Make sure that the levers are not pressing on the plunger in the brake switch. The rear is more likely to be the culprit.

I looked at the rear brake configuration on the Bobber. It is difficult to adjust the brake lever "travel", it's under the exhaust and tough to get to unless the bike is on a lift. Try this, get close to the lever and press down by hand, you should hear a click which means the switch is working, the same goes for the front lever. If you don't hear the sound then the plunger is not completing the circuit and the lever needs adjustment or the switch is defective. If you do hear the click then most likely the wires aren't connected properly.
Let us know what you find.🤞

Since you're not the original owner you wouldn't know if the previous owner made some changes to the indicators or brake light and changed everything back to stock before selling. If this is the case then it's possible that the wiring was mixed-up.
It's time to check that the wires are connected properly. If you're not comfortable with reading the wiring diagram and checking the wiring then you need to find someone who is.

Many members of this forum have replaced the stock brake light, perhaps one might be willing to part with the original. List your request in the wanted section.
Conversely, this is a perfect opportunity to replace the brake light with an after market unit.
