Hello all,

New to the forum and biking.
Does anyone know how the triumph auxillary analogue temp gauge is fitted?
I mean is it wired into bike somehow?

Many thanks in advance

Pretty sure it just mounts the handlebar and is self contained. At least on our one customers bike that is how it is installed. It’s measuring outside temp. Not bike temp.

Both the clock and the temp gauge attach to those hex screws on the handlerbar. There is no power to them to light them. Won’t even glow in the dark. The clock probably has a watch battery in it. They look nice, are functional but they could be better if they lit at night.

Are you sure they're powered at all Steve? That type of thermometer is usually based on a bimetallic spring, and needs no external power to run: the spring just changes the amount of twist as the temperature changes.
