Just bought a bobber and will ride it for the first time when I get back from Iraq in Sept. can anyone recommend a good stand? I come to the sandbox every two months and want to get the tires up off the concrete while I'm here.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I use a scissor jack under the sump. It lifts the back end up but not the front.
But if you use axle stands to raise the bike onto bobbins at the back you can then use the scissor jack to raise the front wheel under the sump/frame. This needs to be as far forward as you can get it without lifting it up on the exhausts or catalytic converter.

I have these, both with extended removable handle.

Bit pricier than what some may want to pay, but figured they would be a life time purchase.

If you search paddock stand on the forum, there are several posts and products people have written about.

a scissor jack stand can work. i use it to help make cleaning the wheels/spokes easier. i only use it to lift one end at a time. i have though seen photos of people that do use one to get both wheels off the ground if properly centered under the frame. (however, you'd want to make sure you got it strapped onto the jack pretty good).
