Hi, what size licence plate have you had fitted to the side mounted holder? Have you had any issues respecting its legality? i.e. have you been stopped? I ask because I like the style and have considered the same! Ride safe, Greybeard

Hi, yes the side number plate holder is the one from Triumph. It takes a US size number plate which is quite a bit smaller than uk's. I got a pull a couple of weeks ago for overtaking a unmarked police car slightly over the limit......He didn't even mention the number plate just the rear indicator's that flash red not amber. And then it was only to say I might have a problem when I come to an MOT. The rears lights and the indicators are not uk legal but because of the style of the bike (not a sports bike) you get away with it. I think it improves the back end of the bike moving the number plate.
    Cheers Paul.

Not sure if this is right place to post but here goes, UK Law.

I’ve linked below an interesting article and if I’m reading it right, it states that it’s OK to have integrated rear brake/running light and indicators. If anyone thinks this to be the case then I’m guessing it’s ok to just have two intergrated brake/indicators? No need for big red brake light on top of rear mudguard/fender.
The Bobber is great but the rear fender/mudguard light setup is an abortion

And if it’s UK legal it must be in Europe as it stands.

Any thoughts or wisdom appreciated, Jed
