The argument for going with a TuneECU solution is that you’re not adding another potential point of failure such as the PCV. The TECU is cleaner. If you end up making changes or switching maps then you do have to upload directly to the ECU each time with the associated risk of bricking it. Much easier (and less risky) to just switch PCV maps. For me, I ship and ride my bike in two cities (LA and Denver) so I switch between two PCV maps with a flick of a switch. No fuss or muss and no worries about the ECU. However PCV is a piggyback system so it can’t remove restrictions on the ECU like raising the rev limiter. IMHO both solutions are complimentary for my purposes.
