Quick shifter (gear changer)

Anyone know of a quick-shifter that will work with the Bobber?

Try to contact Translogic.
I used their quickshifter on my Speed Triple R with good results. With a triple engine, back then it was very hard to find a good quality shifter and the Translogic was about the only one I could find.
I’m not sure I would put one on my Bobber and so far haven’t felt the need. But it would be nice to hear your feedback if you do go ahead and install one.

You may also want to ask HealTech. I used this on my GSXR600 and my 1000 also. Worked Great!!

FYI, The Translogic TLS-QS3-TRI-LSPUSH model cost me 330GBP plus VAT back in 2014. Iīm sure they have better (i.e less crude) systems now.

You are superstar. Thank you for the rapid response! I like the look of iOS one and have just sent them an email.

Yes, I confess a Quickshifter may seem a bit odd on a Bobber, but with my clip on bars etc. I have set up more sporty rather than cruising. I simply love doing full throttle short shifting without the clutch (but donít always get it right! Lol)

If I pull the trigger, Iíll keep you posted.

Much appreciated, Steve.

I certainly don’t think it’s “wrong” on the Bobber. A lot of people think quickshifters are for track only bikes. But nothing could be further from the truth.
I have found that Shifters make road riding ALOT more fun and can totally understand why you want one on the Bobber. I use mine day in day out on my GSA at all loads and all RPM. Works a treat both up and down the gears.

Good luck with your search and I look forward to hearing your updates. Your review may yet convince me that my Bobber needs a quickshifter too...

The non technical version (just the way I like ) : The ability to change gear without the need to use the clutch.
Usually upshifts, but sometimes downshifts too, depending on the make/model of the shifter.

Hi. Itís a sensor that one fits to your gear change linkage that senses when you are changing gear and then automatically kills the engine for a split second so that you can change gear without having to use the clutch (much quickly)

Thank you for the explanation. What is the fun in that? Might as well have an automatic transmission.

I think the Thruxton has a quickshifter, and that might fit the Bobber. Many Bonneville accessories are interchangeable.

Your bike is beautiful, I'd puta QS on it for sure. Chico, you can still use the clutch in the normal way, but if you're doing spirited riding, the QS cuts the ignition while the gearchange is in progress so you make the fastest possible switch. They are totally cool.
