Top speed

I bet this has been discussed but I was just wondering if anyone has figured out how to get rid of the 110 to 115 top speed limit. I feel as tho it is set way to low since I can hit it in 4th gear and still have 5th and 6th left

I haven’t seen anyone talk about a way with doing away with the limiter. While the motor is capable, the naked straight up position is brutal at 115. I guess that’s why triump put the limiter in place.

As far as I know, defeating the limiters on modern bikes is pretty near impossible. Manufacturers have wised up to the hacks that were used, and I don't expect a 2017/2018 bike to be hackable.

Mind you, top marks to anyone who can do it, and can exceed the limiter speed, on a Bobber with high bars. Post a video!

It isnt hard to do even with the high bars. I have been alot faster with other bikes including my tl1000r 165mph,r1 180mph and right before my bobber my speed triple r 155mph. Riding position means nothing for top speed as how the bike feels at speed does. And the bobber is stable at 115 so idk why they set that limit

Maybe you should stick to your sports bikes? 115mph is fast enough or are you planning a trip down the autobahn?

I have hit the limiter sooo many times it is really annoying, giving it the beans, acquitting yourself well then bam you are robbed of power, I will get around it eventually.

If anyone can, it's you Trirocket.

I still want to see a video of it being done, especially with high bars. This is definitely a case of pix or it didn't happen.

Maybe you will get that when rathead posts his video of riding the wheelie on his bobber down the highway.

That's hilarious. And you're right -- ol' rathead was yapping it up pretty good but delivered exactly zilch. LOL.
