Priceless...

So I rode my Bobber into work today. Was happily going about my business a few hours later and overheard two workmen talking as they were putting up cubicles:

Did you see that killer bike downstairs?
Yeah it's gorgeous, whoever has it is a lucky bas***d

So I nipped downstairs to check: yep, the Bobber's the only bike down there

Bobber owners: women want us, men want to be like us.

I was riding through my local (small) town at the weekend. I turned a corner headed along keeping to the 20mph speed limit.

A family was walking toward me and the teens at the front, the ones who don't like anything without checking their phones to see if it is cool or not, blurted out 'look at that fantastic motorbike'.

They could only see the Bobber from the front but made an instant decision - the Bobber is cool!

The bike does draw some attention!

I was in a parking lot and an older gentleman drove by it and parked and I could hear him talking to his wife ..."that is a completely custom bike...."

I was on the cell phone do didn't engage in convo with him, but thought.."nope..bone stock!)

In my case I am the "older gentleman".

I stopped to get gas. A young guy in his 20's said, "What is that?" I told him. He gave me a fist bump.

Meant no disrespect! And I am far from 20 myself!

Month or so ago I popped into a local supermarket. When I came out and was getting my gear on, a guy came up to me and said
" Man, love the bike. What did it used to be"
High praise indeed.

Similar reaction to others... I had one guy at the gas station say "there's a ton of modification in your bike, what did you do?" I replied "it's stock" (this was back when the bike first came out).

I'm pretty sure he wanted to kick my arse for being a smartass, he could not believe it was stock.

No disrespect taken. I'm comfortable with my age. It beats the alternative.
