OHmygodimgoingtodie!

Just had my first ever rear wheel tubed puncture since riding a Honda cg125.

It was not plesant, 2 screws lead to almost instant deflation at errrr 30 plus or minus a bit (lol) on the commute.

I need new underware, so I'm sitting on a red route in pouring rain with a 1.5 to 2 hour wait on RAC 😞

Glad you’re ok.
Not a pleasant experience I imagine.
Makes one think about buying the kit to make the tires tubeless!!

A bit scary but, good to hear you made it through it. Sorry about the rain. At least it could have been sunny while you waited.

My last flat had me end up at an abandoned gas station in the middle of nowhere. It was on a Monday so all the bike shops were closed.

You have to look real hard but the rear tire is definitely flat . . . .

Well got recovered in the end, 3h standing in peeing rain, new tube and all ok, got a new front too (was down to nearly 1mm and thats pushing it i know), funnily enough dip blew at the same time so i plonked for a std halogen lamp, no blue tint so the light looks more retro but ****, visibility without street lights is awful, think i need to change up to a nitebreaker, not too enthused with dropping in an LED with a fan assist heatsink into that little headlamp!

I used the Pathfinder H4nf. nf means “no fan”. Works great compared to stock halogen, but it is 6000K, so a little whiter. To get a great “old fashioned” light pattern, I think a headlight with a fluted lens is the ticket!

@Ethariel ,
I have a LED replacement bulb: PATHFINDER H4NF Performance LED with Passive Heat Sink.
Yours if you want it. Consider it a thank you for donating to the DGR this year. You also won the service manual, but didn’t tell me if you’ll be needing it or not.

If not, the service manual will go to another member next year who:
1) Donates to a random forum member participating in the DGR2019
2) Actively needs a manual
