Finally in ! But...

Hi people,

Finally on Friday I could get my new bobber black, registered and from my dealer,.... sounds great doesnít it?
But....
A few things were not quite as they should have been:
A) waking up finding out it rains (thatís not too good)
B) Friday I could only get to my dealer by bike, I knew I was gonna get wet (so what?)
C) I. Was so stupid to drop my old bike while arranging to drive away (at the full speed of approx 3 km/h backwards) btw no damage
D) while dropping the bike I ďrolledĒ same direction, no problem if I didnít have these things on my hands we call fingers, they were a ďbitĒ twisted
E) ever tried to lift up a bike, works doesnít it? But imagine the surface is NOT flat
F) found out that twisted fingers and clutch were .... kind of working, at least the first 2 times
G) went to Dealer and finally received my beauty, can you imagine how happy (also the fact this clutch was much lighter)
H) finally drove away, completely different of driving a tiger 800, ofcourse still wet roads, and some rain sometimes, can you imagine how bike looked. After 25-30 km?
I) so now I have bobby in front of the house, have to pick up tiger 800 at dealer but... my left hand doesnít want to do anything, got ďjustĒ a bit thicker ....
DISASTER !
Finally having 2 bikes and not able to drive 1 of them...(seems like a tragic movie :-). ) ok hopefully for a few days
But, anyway, though pulling the clutch was not my favourite, the road was wet AND the tyres were new (you all know that) i DID have a smile on my face.
Cu

A) Tiger 800 Jet Black
B) Bobber black about 9.000 km ago
C) a backpack to be used with B) if you need a toothbrush AND a fresh t-shirt.
Btw WARNING!
Please try to avoid C) as itís going to break your back on the long run.

Yo,
Had some pictures made yesterday, I love pictures normally, X-rays ... the piccy itself doesnít hurt, the reason why is another story. Anyway, nothing broken just heavily bruised, so in a few days on the road again

I also feel you pain. The weather was absolutely shocking when I picked mine up. Was via a trailer though. Had to come back down the motorway, put a cover over it but it still got absolutely plastered in salt spray, still cleaning off.

Hope there wasn't too much damage.

Reminds me of bringing home a brand new T100 years ago, and having searched my person for the garage door device when I got the new bike home (I was all excited and distracted by not grabbing it before leaving), I had forgotten to put down the kickstand and just hopped off. Scraped the pipe and trashed the mirror. Not happy, but such things happen.

I feel your pain, literally.

On the first day of getting my bobber I managed to fracture my right wrist and spent the next 6 weeks in plaster and about the same again getting useful movement in it again. This was at the start of the summer so missed the prime riding season in the UK.

I'm going to make up for it this year though.
