Best available whitewalls

I'm looking to add whitewalls to my Bobber (original, not Black) and I recall some discussion about the Avon ones not being available anymore. Is that right? What brand/sizes are available now?

Just about a month ago I picked up some new Avon Chrome whitewalls. For sure they are available.

Avon Chromes and Metzlers are the only 2 brands I'm aware of right now. I'm planning on going with the Metzlers very soon.

If the Metzlers a Tourance I would shy away from them. They come stock on many Tigers and aren't thought of very favorably. I can't wait to replace mine.

These are ME888 Marathon Ultras: https://www.denniskirk.com/metzeler/...f?skuId=544474

The reviews seem to be really good.

Don't you blokes have the Shinkos over there? I'm thinking of going with the 777s.

I will probably go back with Avon again just because I like the look and the look of the tread pattern more than the others.

This will be my 3rd set of Avon whitewallls. They donít last long.

We have Shinkos, but they don't seem to hold up for those of us that put on a lot of miles. The Melzelers are a high mileage tire. I suppose if you aren't putting on 5,000 miles a year like me, then the Shinkos are a cheaper option to get the white wall look.

Here is a recent article comparing the pros and cons of the Avon vs. Shinko tires. The article implies that Shinko lasts longer.

I see Dunlop makes a whitewall tire - don't know if they are approved replacements on a standard Bobber (D402 MH90-21 Medium)
