Reverse rear axle spindle

I’ve found that it’s easier to get the rear axle spindle mounted with the nut on the left side of the bike instead of the right. So far I haven’t seen any issues. Can anyone think of any problems orienting the spindle this way?

Had it mounted like that for a long time with no negative side effects.
I even have some pictures floating around the forum (somewhere!) to prove it...

I also have it this way round, as long as some threads (1.5 preferred) stick through the nut, all good. Not the closest of pics.

The theory is if it's fitted that way around the nut could come loose, in all my year's of riding i've never seen or heard of this happening and lot's of owner's have done this on many bike's. Torque is up correctly and it'll be fine.
