Winter project .

Hey guys...So I'm all set for a new winter project , bought myself a 1981 Kawasaki KZ750 last weekend , I bought It of a guy who had It for a year but didn't ride It he bought It of the original owner who tried to cafe It out but really screwed It up . It has a good engine and gear box , he copped the back of the frame off but never finished It . The electrics are screwed up as are almost everything else , the whole bike needs going through . Its going to be a fun project something I'm going to take my time with I'm In no rush . luckily It seems like parts are still readily available for these bikes .
Anyway guys Ill try and keep you posted along the way . Pics are day one and day three .

Looks like a great basis for a project. Check out DO THE TON - Index, and think about starting a build thread there. Lots of knowledgeable and helpful people, and the process of taking photos and writing about them helps when you come to put it all back together again. But keep us posted here

My frist bike was a 1976 KZ750B, that I had to restore, and I absolutely loved it! Really cool bikes! Enjoy, can't wait to see the progress pictures!

Hi Mate,

A great project, looking forward to seeing how you get on with it.

I had an old Z9 back in the day. A brute of a bike but boy did I look cool..

Cheerio,

Roy

Externally, that bike's already looking pretty sweet! Looks like a Toecutter's gang member bike from the first Mad Max - love those old Kwaks.
