Thumbs up Why I Like This Forum. Your Thoughts?

Let me start by saying that I'm not a social medial type of chap. I'm not on face book, twitter or any other such platform, I don't own a smart phone and never have (probably never will). But I have been a member of a number of forums on various topics over the years and aside from this forum I'm a regular on one other. Most of those other forums that I have joined, then subsequently left have been due in a large part to the character (or lack there of) of those members and moderators and how they express themselves. So why do I like this forum?

Aside from the obvious shared interest etc. I have to say that both the moderators and members here are kind, thoughtful, polite, supportive and inclusive. I find there is little criticism, anger or unpleasantness. On the odd occasion when someone slightly steps over the mark, it's often followed by a sincere apology and/or clarification, surely the sign of a true gentlemen (or lady).

There is enough unpleasantness in the world around us without seeking it out or expressing it on a forum, so when I turn up here on this forum, I do it in the hopes of it bringing me a little happiness and joy to my life and over the last year this forum, it's members and moderators, have done just that.

Aside from all that, what I'm most impressed with is how everyone puts up with all my ramblings and tolerate my little eccentricities...

So my heartfelt gratitude to you all.

Cheerio,

Roy

Roy, you go a long way towards making this forum enjoyable to read. Not to mention your passion for “the ride” and your love of your BB. I just keep wondering, “what is he going to do next?” 👍👍

My mum used to feed me with a catapult, and she was a bad shot.

Well put Roy!

You hit about every nail square on the head. It is a rare occurrence to come across a forum that isn't on the brink of self destruction due to conflict. The camaraderie and humor here are second to none.

About the only other thing I might add, is that every time I'm here, I come away with new golden nugget of information, or bit of inspiration that kicks my creativity into gear again!

You all are geniuses, and artists, in your own right!

Way'd Go eh!

I have to echo your sentiment Roy and all of those who have replied before me... this site is the most civil I’ve ever had the pleasure to frequent, it’s an absolute marvel in that regard and I can only assume our collective good taste in bikes extends to us all being decent and considerate towards one another.

I have to say that you look exactly as I had pictured you, Roy = dude! You’re a great asset and character of forum good Sir
