Thumbs up Big 'Clip-On' Bobber Photo Thread - Show Us Your Bikes

Hi Chaps,

I have to say I hated Clip-Ons as a youngster, more my brothers thing (on his RD400 as I recall). I don't like the riding position and I don't like pressure on my wrists. Now that said, I see this is becoming a really popular mod on Bobbers and whole heatedly confess I LOVE the look.. The Bobber just looks terrific as this modern/retro reincarnation of the classic 'Rocker' Care Racer.

Not my thing but hey I can still appreciated - cool as **** as they used to say..

So to that end I thought I would start a thread so all you riders with Clip-Ons can have somewhere dedicated to share pics of your cracking bikes and 'I' get to enjoy the candy..

I don't have this mod so can't share a photo, so 'half inched' this pic.

Cheerio and looking forward to seeing your bikes.

Roy

P.s. I wonder who will be the first to put these on a Speedmaster..?

I'm also considering clip ons as a way to keep my spine from being straight up and down. With your back slightly bent at the hips, bumps no longer compress your spine, rather they only move you like a hinge. I have "ace" bars on my Bonneville and it's actually a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be.

The pressure on your wrists comes with rear sets that move your center of gravity forward to the point that your legs no longer support you, so your wrists or abs do the work of holding you up. With the Bobber's controls so far forward, this is a non-issue, as it was with the Bonnie.

Hi beatle,

Some good points. After posting I also thought (for that classic retro look), Clip-Ons would looks great with a Speedmaster tank fitted (I'm bias as I have one).

Cheerio,

Itís my favorite ďlookĒ for the Bobber.
Been saying it for ages.
Once I ride it (a lot) less with the Bobber, I will put some on.
I just love the way the clip-ons look & flow, but canít ride long distance with them due to neck pain.

Same here guys, love the look of clip-ons on the Bobber.
Definitely gives it a cafe look.
Donít think Iíll go that route with my Bobber though, itís comfortable enough, donít want to go backwards.

I want clip-ons but probably save for next year. Y’all are a bad influence!

On fast A roads above 60mph clip-ons are great anywhere else they're a real pain but who cares when they look so cool!

I know I've got the bike and the battle scared wrists to prove it

Hi Bobber-Bomb,

Very nice indeed, thanks for sharing.

We are still waiting for our first photograph of a Bobber (or Speedmaster ) with Clip-Ons..?

This stunning bike belongs to a forum member. I hope it’s ok to share the pic, but I was sent it a while back in order to host it - so I assume it’s ok...
