New Motogadget mirrors = Disappointed

I thought I should share my experience with these new motogadget glass less mirrors.
These 2 mirrors are completely inconsistent with each other.
As you can see in the picture the first one has a very obvious brown tint.
This causes everything in the mirror to look brown.
The other is clear, but has a rainbow streak effect on all highlights in the reflection.
Doesn't show up much in the pic. It's not too bad in the day, but becomes useless at night.
The mirror is covered in rainbow streaks.
I have contacted Motogadget customer support and they are not willing to help me out.
I am responsible to cover the costs of shipping these back and forth. I am in Canada. Shipping is not cheap.
They have even stated that the brown tint is not a warranty issue.
After explaining to them that this is a very obvious issue with their quality control at the factory, they are still not willing to help.
They have now stopped replying to my emails.
After spending this amount on mirrors, I expected a lot more.

Thanks for posting your issue. I shall keep an eye on the ones I've just fitted, and report back if I spot anything unusual.

Did you pay via PayPal ?
Try taking the issue up with them if you did.
Motogadget cannot simply get bored and stop replying cause you’re “bothering” them.
There is also a returns clause if purchased from the EU.

Thanks for the heads up.

Could the brown tint be there by design? I had some blue tinted mirrors on the BMW R nineT that I had. I didn't care for them a bit.

I have those same mirrors. That’s definitely not by design. I’ve used them on two different bikes and both sets were a perfect mirror finish. It is polished the tint something on the surface you can feel?

@RRBuBGGz75 he said they were glass mirrors, so perhaps a different model than the polished metal ones like A&J Cycles sells?

Each one matters.

Did you purchase from us? If so we can swap them out for you. First we have had this complaint about them.
