Time to get a little horny!

Whilst passing some friends who were standing outside the pub I for the first time used the horn on my Bobber... I can only refer to the noise that followed as a little wimpy and far more in keeping with what you would expect to hear coming from Noddyís car than from my beloved masculine Bobber!

With that in mind Iíve started to consider a replacement and in keeping with the bikes vintage looks thought the sound of...ah ooo-gah coming from a Klaxton horn might be better suited and a little different.

Whatís the collective thoughts of my fellow Bobber Brothers?

The OEM horn sounds like the road runner before he takes off. I actually stopped using mine and blip the throttle instead. Much better a load roar instead of a muted “beep”.
I’m sure there are ways to fit a Denali or the likes, but I use my horn so little I don’t think it’s worth it for me. I actually chose to hide my OEM horn with the Wunderkind displacement kit. It really cleans up the look (sorry to go off topic...)

Anyway, I hope you’re friends have not given you a new nickname like “kinda Horny Mike”

In all fairness I get your point... after 600+ miles thatís the first time Iíve used the horn and I too just blip the throttle to make people aware my my presence when filtering.

I just thought having a Klaxton and the ah ooo-gah sound it makes would be a novelty and a nod thatís in keeping with the bikes age.

Some further pondering required me thinks!

Agreed. I actually used my horn 'in anger' yesterday and was embarrassed. New horn, please!

I want the PIAA dual frequency horn. More of a trumpet sound.
