Has anyone fitted Halcyon 820 bar end mirrors to their Bobber?

No one with stock bars unless they drilled out the ends.

The first thing to go on my bike was the huge Mickey Mouse mirrors.
Some may want to shame me, but for the price and the size, I am happy with these

I was able to loosen the screw in the arm and mount them directly onto the ends of the bars on the bobber, then lock them down with that scew.
There's no blur from vibration and the blue tint of the mirror works well at all times of day

Here you go, have had it on since last year. Fitted though to Thruxton handlebars that I swapped from OEM.

I also have the same on on my thruxton with clip ons, best made bike mirror in the world, me thinks.

Triumphrider!
Beautiful!!!!
That’s exactly what I wanted to see.
Thank you!

I have a TFC on order that uses the Thruxton R clip ons. I have a machine shop so making them fit won’t be a issue, but I wanted to see how they looked. To me the Halcyon mirrors are the most fitting mirrors for these bikes.

Also, can you tell me more about your tank strap and seat. Beautiful!

Thanks!
Scott.

Yes Scott, some machining will be required as the ďstep outĒ on the Triumph clip ons prevent the design of the Halcyon from fitting. Easily able to adapt though with simple aftermarket clip ons.

The belt is simply the leftover shoulder strap piece from a man bag that I fitted for much needed storage.

The seat is a LaRosa seat designed for the bobber

Youíll notice this pic shows bobber specific clip ons as thatís what I had, but because I could not fit the Halycon mirror, for this and another reason, I elected to go a different route and use left over Thruxton bars with short risers..

Thanks Nor, pretty easy and inexpensive to do.

On my Thruxton i have 2 belts parallel with one another because after crashing several years ago, i replaced the tank, so I found it fitting to add 2 as a reminder it was the second time around.

Weird, I know!

Since you are about the only one I see with clip on type bars on a Bobber, how is the riding position and comfort?
I have a TFC on order and since I can’t sit on one I’m curious how she feels?

Thank you for the pics and response back.
Your bike is beautiful

Ok, hereís my honest take. Iím not a big guy 5í8Ē, athletic, slim and used to do some amateur racing and always until recently had sport bikes so my endurance on seat time is(was) pretty good. I loved the thought and look of clip ons on a bobber, so after installing them last winter, ready for the riding season this year, I ended up in the hospital with a hip replacement that was long overdue, at 62 itís the last thing I wanted.

I rode with clip ons for about a month and couldnít find comfort however not in my back but my hip due to the mid controls. If I had rearsets somehow installed I would have been fine, so I knew I didnít like the OEM bars as itís too upright and wide and found a happy medium with the semi clubman Thruxton bars.

I do plan however on Re installing the clip ons this winter and figure the foot controls issue.

Personally I think the bobber with clip ons looks aces, great look.

Your case may be different and the clip on set up would work right out of the gate for you. Looking forward to seeing what you do. If you have a set of clubmans hanging around, put them on and see how it feels, itís a pretty close set up.
