Okay, so I thought I was done.....
Seems you just can't stop making changes to a Bobber once you've started....
Figured I needed a way to carry some stuff with me in case I ever decided to do an overnight trip on the Bobber. Since I really don't like using a backpack, saddlebags were the next
obvious choice. Since I tried to stay away from using Triumph accessories as much as possible, I guessed I'd just have to make 'em myself.
I had to make a couple of runs to get all the leather & buckles etc.. but once I had everything it was just a matter of dedicating the time to pattern & sew. I modified a saddlebag pattern
I got at Tandy, eliminating the cross piece that connects the two bags together since it won't work on a non-hardtail bike. I still went with the Triumph Bobber pannier rails since they
were designed for the bike and don't look horrible when the bags are off. It was the same pattern set I used for the small tool pouch on the back of the seat.
By Grabthar's Hammer... what a savings.
