Nearly...

So I was riding down a country lane last weekend enjoying the sunny weather. A wide BMW car came towards me preferring to drive in the middle of the road. I tried to suggest that there wasn't going to be enough room with the position of my bike but nope, she wasn't budgin'.
I manoeuvred over towards the bank on my side with just enough room. This put me into a shallow rut where the tarmac was worn through to the previous layer. I didn't panic but the rut steered me off the road and into a narrow and shallow ditch. Again, no point in panicking, I just kept my sense aware of any changes occurring and slowly throttled off.,

I'm sure the weight and geometry of the Bobber saved me. We gently came to a halt picking up some turf on the stand and the silencer.
Getting the bobber back on the road saw the rear wheel want to stay in the ditch with the front wheel back on the tarmac but a bit more gas and a spin pushed us out and on our way again.

Love that bike,

In my version of the story... you jumped back on the bike... gave chase to the road hogging cow and now have her wing mirror hanging above your mantelpiece as a souvenir!

I actually did that once. Okay, I didn't take her mirror but I did do a 180ş, catch up with her and give her a verbal driving lesson.

It's incredibly unfortunate and saddening that our British friends relinquished their right to own such things.

Glad you're OK.

errrr, no we didn't and the gun club is alive and well attended

The government took our 9mm semi-auto and 38/357 revolvers away from us, but there are things called Long Barrelled Revolvers which is nice.

A person is only allowed to take them to and from their gun club or to a registered range so no carrying. It would stop a lot of these road rage incidents if there was a possibility that there was a weapon in the vehicle.

Good to hear how you so calmly rode through that “almost” incident. Nice going! 👏
