Seat sickness

So... I used to have 3 seats for the Bobber, the stock seat, the Statement seat, and the Diamond stitched quilted seat. The stock seat had the most support of the 3 but was "plain". Now that winter has set in I wanted to do a project, so I took the stock seat pan down to the custom upholsterer with some sketches. It only took them 4 days which was as long as It was supposed to take to order the leather. I was so excited that I put the thing on tonite even though it's like 14 F out there and it is supposed to be 45 or 50 if I waited for the weekend! My wife used to think I might be crazy, now she is sure!

Looks like they did a fine job. Really looks good.
I did similar on a Honda Rebel I owned previously. The stock seat was comfortable but boring. I ordered an aftermarket seat in black quilted but the pan was not a great shape and was the most uncomfortable bike seat I'd ever had. I took that to an upholsterer and had them remove the cover and put it over the top of the stock seat. Gave an extra layer of padding and looked great. Really cheap also. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best and most affordable.
Didn't really learn the lesson though because now have a Corbin which is fantastic but expensive again.

It was $175 including the material which I thought was quite reasonable.

Very nice looking seat! I'll bet that it will ride real nice.

I finally went with the black seat with the white piping. It matches my bike's whitewall tires and it works for my butt.

Just sitting on it it feels like the stocker which I find very comfortable. If you read my first post it was 14F so I didn't ride yet!

Only 14F? Sounds balmy! j/k

Yah, was just wondering it felt to sit on, step one for gauging comfort. And agree the stock seat is comfortable.

I had them use the stock foam. They only added a 1/4 inch piece for the quilting so comfort should be same as stock!
