Black cases

So having done all the work on the bike so far, I wasn't confident changing the engine cases and camshaft covers myself so opted to let my main dealer do the work. I dropped off the new black cases and the bike and was told to pick her up at the end of the day which I did. The bill comes - £300 plus VAT says the dealer - I told him that Triumph quote 70 minutes for the work and asked what their hourly rate was. He goes to see his manager and five minutes later comes back with a revised bill - £90! Pays to check the Triumph web site.

Nice! It pays to stay on top of things.

Having changed a few of those covers, 70 mins is not nearly enough time to properly prepare the gasket surfaces and Install the covers.
